J.H. Patton & The Good Companions
Midwest Americana
J.H. Patton & The Good Companions is a Michigan-based rock and Americana group formed in early 2023.
J.H. Patton, a guitarist and songwriter for much of his life, formed his newest musical project after a three-year residence in New England. Returning to his home state of Michigan with a handful of songs and a need to play live again, J.H. Patton quickly formed The Good Companions with bassist Kurtis Young and drummer Peter Shutt, skilled musicians with years of experience. Their original music and exciting live performances win over fans with each new show.
In early 2024, J.H. Patton & The Good Companions released their first EP, Live from Dogtown, recorded live in Grand Rapids' Dogtown Studio. Just a few months later, the band released a second EP; California Green. Recorded above a garage in the summer of 2023, California Green is a collection of some of the first songs written for The Good Companions.
After a successful year of live shows, new music, and recording, J.H. Patton & The Good Companions is looking towards the future. Sign up to the band's mailing list to get the latest info on live shows, new music, and more.
